Mayers is President and CEO of Inspiration Zone LLC (IZL), a firm specializing in strategic consulting, brand management and thought leadership.  As principal of Inspiration Zone, she serves as a strategic advisor to corporate executives and as chief inspiration officer to professionals and business owners. Prior to launching IZL, Mayers was a marketing executive at Blue Cross Blue Shield of MA where she led multicultural marketing and spearheaded the company’s strategy and employer programs to address racial and ethnic disparities in healthcare. Her breadth of experience spans almost three decades. She held additional leadership roles in strategy, diversity and marketing at GE Capital, The Ad Club Foundation and Bank of Boston (now Bank of America).

A networking expert, Mayers is author of The Guide to Strategic Networking and A Black Woman’s Guide to Networking. She is the recipient of numerous awards and has been featured in television and print media including WHDH, WCVB, CBS, Advertising Age, Boston Business Journal, The Boston Globe, UnityFirst, Bay State Banner and Exhale Magazine.

Throughout her stellar career, Mayers’ body of work has received national acclaim.  Recent awards include Women of Influence recognition from Boston Business Journal(BBJ),  The GK 100 Most Influential Leaders Award from Get Konnected, Multicultural Marketing Leadership award from the BBJ, the Hispanic-American Chambers’ Small Business Champion award, Diversity Journal’s Women Worth Watching award, The Sojourner Truth Business Leadership Award and The Girl Scouts of Eastern MA Leading Women’s Award.

Mayers is a sought-after speaker for keynotes and workshops on inclusive leadership, personal branding, strategic networking and women on boards. She serves on the boards of Eastern Bank, the U.S. Small Business (SBA) Federal Advisory Board, Massachusetts Workforce Development Board and The Boston Club’s Board of Directors.  Mayers is emeritus Board President of Action for Boston Community Development (ABCD), a $150 million anti-poverty organization and the largest community action agency in the country.

Mayers is a graduate of Simmons School of Management where she earned her MBA and she holds a degree in Marketing from Northeastern University.
